Structural Calculations for Wood ADU
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have a fully drafted set of architectural plans for a small, detached accessory dwelling unit that will be built with conventional wood framing. What I still need is the structural side: member sizing, load paths, lateral analysis—everything the city expects in a stamped calculation package.
Scope
• Review my complete design set and verify it aligns with current residential code requirements.
• Perform gravity and lateral analysis (software such as RISA, ETABS, or your preferred tool is fine).
• Produce a clear calculation report and structural sheets that drop straight into my plan set.
Deliverables
1. PDF structural calculation package, ready for permit submittal.
2. Framing plans, details, schedules, and any connection call-outs referenced in the calcs.
3. Brief summary of any design tweaks needed so I can update the architectural sheets.
Acceptance
The submittal should pass plan check without major revisions; if any city comments arise directly from the calcs, I’ll need one round of clarification included.
