My building project has just entered the planning and design phase and I need a structural-engineering specialist to help me set a rock-solid foundation—both literally and figuratively—for everything that follows.
Here’s what I’m looking for right now:
• Preliminary load analysis and member sizing that meet current code requirements
• A clear calculation report (PDF or editable format) I can share with the architect and local authorities
• Concept-level structural drawings or a clean BIM/analysis model showing columns, beams, slabs, and lateral-force-resisting elements
• Brief recommendations on materials and connection details so the cost estimator can start running numbers
