Steel Beam Load Calculations Stamford garage knock through to garden
Budget: £20 – £250 GBP
I’m a general builder and have just secured two domestic jobs that both need signed-off structural input.
Job 1 is a 1 m 625 mm opening through the rear wall of a garage that currently carries the roof.
Job 2 is a kitchen knock-through on a single wall with an attached chimney.
You’ll receive my measured drawings, photos and sketches for each site. What I need is a concise load-bearing capacity report that Building Control will accept, covering:
• Correct steel beam sizes, grade and end-bearing details
• Clear placement and measurements of each beam, marked on the drawings
• Any assumptions or notes that Building Control may ask for
Please return the calculations and a brief stamped PDF (if chartered) within a few days of receiving the files so I can keep both projects on schedule.
