I am re-configuring the roof over an existing residential extension and need a structural package that satisfies current Scottish Building Standards. The job centres on converting the present pitched roof to a single-slope design, specifying every component required for the build—from rafters, insulation build-ups and membranes through to fixings and flashings—so the contractor can order materials and the verifier can sign it off without queries.
Because the alteration will open the rear wall for future bi-fold doors, the roof details must integrate a new supporting beam sized for the span and load path you calculate. Show how that beam seats into the wall construction, how loads transfer to foundations, and how lateral restraint is maintained once the original triangle of the pitched roof is removed.

• Member sizing calculations clearly referenced to Eurocode/BS EN standards adopted in Scotland
• A brief specification schedule listing all materials, grades and treatment requirements
