Residential Floor Rebar & Thickness Calculations

I need an experienced structural or civil engineer to confirm the right slab thickness and reinforcement layout for a residential concrete floor that will carry only a standard household load. My aim is to have clear, code-compliant numbers before pouring so I can hand the contractor a concise drawing and calculation pack instead of vague rules of thumb.

Please develop a brief but complete design note showing: the governing design code you followed, the required slab thickness, bar size and spacing, and any crack-control or shrinkage steel you recommend. A simple plan / section drawn in AutoCAD or an equivalent CAD platform is enough; no elaborate BIM model is necessary. Include the calculation sheet (hand calc or software such as STAAD, SAFE, or ETABS—whatever you normally use) so I can keep it on file for the building inspector.

Acceptance criteria
• Thickness and reinforcement satisfy standard residential live-load requirements.
• Clear CAD sketch and reinforcement schedule ready for the contractor.
• Calculation summary that traces the numbers back to the chosen code.

Turnaround is flexible over a few days. If anything is unclear, ask up front—I'd rather refine early than revise after you finish.
