Industrial Foundation and Slab Design

Job ID: 40568749

Budget: $10,000 – $150,000 USD

I need a professional to design a foundation and slab for an industrial building. The design must comply with local building codes.

Requirements:
- The structure will support storage and warehousing loads.
- Must adhere to local building codes

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in industrial foundation and slab design
- In-depth knowledge of local building codes
- Experience with storage and warehousing load requirements

The proposed building is adjacent to a working hobby barn in Western Loudoun Co. VA, 20141, on a 5ac site, zoned A1. The primary challenge is that the pad site required 600+ yds of fill (good compaction fill was used) to level the grade. The footprint of the proposed structure is running about 25'x40' including a drive-thru breeze-way, and a loading dock. I'm interested in attaching a drive-thru, open cover parking structure to the 25'x40' structure on a 24" lower grade. This level will be used to store and maintain farm and industrial equipment. Because I'm a certified Ground Source Heat Pump installer, I'm intending to install, radiant heat, in-slab. The hobby barn has 200A service that can serve this building also. These are accessory structures, not occupied dwellings, so the zoning will work. I have a highly competent architect available to draw the plan after I retain a structural engineer.
