Farmhouse Floor Plan Redesign
Budget: $15 – $25 USD
I have an existing set of drawings for a New England-style farmhouse and I’m ready to refresh them. The focus is on re-working the kitchen, all bedrooms (especially the primary suite), the master bath and a small butler’s pantry so the whole layout feels brighter, more functional and unmistakably farmhouse in character.
Kitchen
I want a true open-concept space anchored by a classic farmhouse sink. Please revisit cabinet runs, island placement, window locations and the flow out to the rear deck through a new or re-positioned set of doors. Natural light and easy circulation are top priorities.
Bedrooms & Baths
Each bedroom should gain its own walk-in closet, and the primary needs a generous en-suite. The bathroom layout can shift as required to accommodate this, but I’d like to keep a clean, timeless farmhouse aesthetic throughout.
Butler’s Pantry
This is currently undersized; show me a clever way to enlarge or reconfigure it without compromising the adjacent rooms.
Style & Output
New England farmhouse proportions, trim details and traffic flow must guide every decision. Please return a polished set of floor-plan drawings—as-built overlay plus proposed layout—in both PDF and an editable CAD format (DWG or comparable). A brief rationale for major moves will help me present to my builder, so include that on a separate sheet or as notes.
I’m looking for someone who has done this style before and can turn revisions quickly once feedback is provided. I'm attaching photos of the feel we want and also the boring photos are the existing space. This is a 1989 redo.
