Concrete Residential Beam Column Design

I’m finalising the plans for a residential building and now need a structural engineer who can take charge of the concrete beams and columns. The overall architecture is settled; what’s missing are detailed structural calculations and drawings that guarantee every beam and column is sized, reinforced, and connected correctly for a concrete-framed home.

You’ll be working with a standard set of architectural PDFs (floor plans, elevations, sections) and the soil report. Using these, I expect you to:

• Produce clear beam and column schedules with all dimensions, reinforcement, and concrete strengths specified.
• Provide calculation sheets (hand or software-generated) that reference the applicable residential building code for load combinations, deflection limits, and reinforcement ratios.
• Deliver final drawings in both PDF and editable CAD (DWG or similar) so my local drafter and contractor can integrate them directly into the construction set.

Acceptance criteria: every beam and column passes the code checks for strength and serviceability, details are concise enough for the site crew to follow without further clarification, and files open cleanly in AutoCAD and PDF.
