Commercial Reinforcement Takeoff Expert
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
We are a Melbourne-based firm specialising in structural and civil concrete works. We are seeking to establish a partnership with a qualified subcontractor who can provide reinforcement take-off and bar bending schedule (BBS) services for reinforced concrete projects.
To evaluate the possibility of working together, I would be grateful if you could provide information on the following:
1. Experience & Past Work
Do you have experience preparing reinforcement take-offs and BBS for international clients (particularly those working to Australian or comparable standards)?
Could you share 2–3 examples of previous deliverables (take-off lists, BBS, sample drawings)?
2. Software & Deliverables
Which software do you primarily use (e.g., Tekla Structures, Revit, AutoCAD)?
3. Capacity & Turnaround
What is your team’s typical monthly capacity (e.g., tonnes of reinforcement)?
What is your usual turnaround time for projects of varying sizes?
4. Quality Control & Assumptions
How do you address laps, hooks, wastage, and other assumptions?
Do you provide a written note of methodology and assumptions with each package?
5. Pricing
Could you indicate your typical pricing range?
6. References
May I request the details of at least two previous clients for reference?
7. Trial Project
Would you be open to undertaking two trial packages to demonstrate your workflow and accuracy?
