simple outside the box ideas for light truss application

Hotel project in Massachusetts: contemplating some truss alternatives to support single guestrooms; something my late father [I think of him as an outstanding structural PE] and I looked a long ago, but these same alternatives may be used as a solution to new buildings to be constructed immediately. I have a small architectural & structural design-build firm and some reasonable sense and practical experience in similar applications, but that's not enough for the conventional and prompt development of these design ideas...I have all specifics, etc.
