I need a structural engineer/civil engineer
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
Hello,
I recently purchased a condo that has a stackable washer and dryer installed in the kitchen. I'm concerned about the structural integrity of the floor based off of local building codes regarding live load/dynamic load in residential buildings. I have been unable to find the original building/architectural plans to learn the placement of floor joists and if the kitchen can support this weight. The condo was built with washer/dryer hookups. I wanted to see if a structural engineer would be able to take a look at my condo and see if the floor can support the washer and dryer or if I will need to get a two-in-one machine or reinforce the floor. The instructions for the installation of the washer state this ",NOTE: If floor is in poor condition, Add 3/4" impregnated plywood sheet solidly attached to existing floor covering."
Thank you.
