I am looking for someone to help me with a residential house foundation plan. The immediate need is to size steel I-Beams for the home. I am in the process of moving a home and have attached a sketch of the foundations dimensions and photo's of the home. I am planning to use a 48" crawl space for the home.
The floor joists are 2 x 8" and 24 inches on center. The joists run from the front of the house to the back of the house, perpendicular to the front of the house. The front of the home (20' x 24') has a rim joist around the perimeter, as does the rear section (12' x32' 2") of the home.
I've included 2 I-Beams in my sketch (this is my proposal), one 12' from the front of the house and a second one at 24' from the front of the house. I trying to determine what size I-beams are required to support the home.
