Structural Drawings Creation
Budget: $30 – $250 AUD
I'm in need of structural drawings for an assessment. The specific elements required include a floor plan, two elevations, and a section drawing. Assessment text below which is what the drawings MUST adhere to:
For this task use the five (5) freehand drawings below that show concept sketches of a small house. The house will be of the following construction:
• Raft slab on ground with integral perimeter beam
• Masonry veneer construction
• Timber roof trusses
• Sheet roof
Prepare a set of partial working drawings
You are required to prepare a set of four (4) partial working drawings (orthographic drawings) consisting of the following views that you could send to your certifier:
a) Floor plan
b) Two elevations (South and West)
c) A typical section of the building cut through living/dining.
• The drawings can be prepared using T-square and set squares or alternatively graph paper can be used.
• The drawings can be presented in pencil or pen.
• This task may also be completed using CAD software.
Standard drawing conventions are to be used in the presentation of your drawings. These will include:
• Dimensioning conventions
• Section line and direction of view shown on floor plan (cut through Living/Dining)
• Conventional representation of materials in section
Annotate your drawings as follows:
• External dimensioning of floor plan
• Door/window sizes
• Title each view (include scale)
• Vertical dimensions, roof pitch, etc.
• General notes to section and elevations – materials, finishes, etc.
• Title block showing job, date, scale and sheet number
Ideal Skills:
- Proficiency in creating structural drawings
- Knowledge of Australian standards
- Experience with architectural design
Experience:
- Prior work on educational institution projects
- Familiarity with TAFE assessment requirements
Would prefer to have someone that is proficient with CAD software, to avoid this taking too long.
