2D Space Planning for Residential Renovation
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I am looking for a skilled professional to assist with the 2D space planning for my main floor renovation (1700sf). I have the dwg files. The overall focus of this project is to bring the house to a mid-century design and a general update of the home.
Key Areas of Focus:
- Kitchen
- Mudroom/utility/butler pantry area
- Half bath
- Master bedroom, en suite, and closet
Specific Functional Improvements Needed:
- Creating a large walk-in closet in the bedroom
- Loft/attic above the bedroom to be opened up with a permanent staircase to become part of the bedroom space
- Allow space to be more user friendly and personal to my needs, including eliminating the formal dining room and relocating the half bath/powder room
- Redesigning the overall layout of the kitchen
Ideal candidates for this project should have extensive experience in residential space planning. A strong portfolio showcasing previous residential renovations will be required. The ability to blend functionality with aesthetic appeal is crucial for the success of this project.
NB: It will be a mid-century design in a home that was built in 1976, so design elements to accommodate and be consistent with that era are important.
