Part-Time Revit Structural Modeler

Commercial office projects across Canada need clean, coordinated structural BIM models. I share red-lined design sketches from our engineers and expect you to translate them into Revit 2024 models hosted on Autodesk BIM 360. Scope ranges from timber framing through steel columns, beams and connections, all the way to fully reinforced concrete elements, including rebar detailing where required.

Because every drawing set ultimately passes municipal review, your work must follow the National Building Code of Canada conventions for annotation, load-path logic and sheet organization. I supply a template and family library; you add levels, grids, parametric families, schedules, clash-free connections and sheet views ready for engineer sign-off. Coordination happens in real time on BIM 360, so regular cloud publishing and issue tracking are part of the routine.

Deliverables for each assignment
• Updated .rvt model with timber, steel and RC elements correctly constrained to grids and levels
• 2D plan, section and detail sheets extracted from the model and set to our title block
• Rebar schedules and material take-offs exported to Excel
• A brief PDF summary noting any code-related assumptions or RFIs

I assign projects in weekly blocks; average workload is 25-30 hours per week, growing with performance. Immediate start available once a short Revit/BIM 360 sample file confirms compatibility with our standards.
