Outdoor Venue Design with New Orleans Twist
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
This is for a general site plan for the development of an outdoor venue focusing on creating space for performance and art. This a roughly square shaped area of approximately 22,000 sq'. It is located in an established art district. The main entry would be on the north side of the property and open in to the center of the venue. The first impression would be an open green space that detailed with native plant species in a sustainable environment. The space would be enhanced with a New Orleans design with strategically placed cargo containers painted and accented to replicate the French Quarter feel. Some of the containers would be double stacked to allow for the creation of a second floor New Orleans balcony. The would be accented with ornamental iron railing and over looking an existing beautiful stone and ivy wall. An "L" shaped layout of the double stacked containers would sit along the edge of the property aligning with the city's service alley, opening westward. The apex would be the location of the catering kitchen and public restrooms. Indoor dining would occupy the rest of the structure on both levels. Roughly in the center of the property would be the primary location of the mobile stage. It is imagined to be the center focus of the venue. The average stage would be 30' in diameter serving an "in the round" audience. It would be portable and able to function under different desired looks. A section of the eastern edge of the property would house parking spaces including some ADA and optional food truck parking. It would also serve as a second entrance from the alley. You would enter it from the north side of the property and travel straight across to exit the south side of the property into the alley. A gated venue, it would appear almost park like in presentation and would be a very flexible use of space. There would be limited patio paving to allow for better dining pleasure. Garden paths would create the ambiance of a laid back, serene destination. This project requires CAD and MEP drawings.
