Motel Renovation Plans. Cocoa, Florida
Budget: $5,000 – $10,000 USD
I am going to renovate an existing motel.
The first thing I will need created is a set of "as built" plans. The previous owner did not have a set and the City does not has a set. It is currently 150 motel rooms split amongst three 2 story buildings. There is also a 4th single story building that has a restaurant and offices in it.
I will also need plans to accommodate the renovation.
Buildings 1-3 (150 rooms)
Many of rooms will become double suites. I already know how I want the rooms laid out. We will create an opening between two adjacent rooms to create a one bedroom suite. The one bedroom suites will have full kitchens and baths. Some rooms will remain single rooms with full kitchens added to the room. We will also take a utility room and turn it into a fitness room. I will need MEP for the electric, plumbing and gas. I would like to utilize what electric is there and run the necessary additional circuits. The property is serviced by gas, but not the individual rooms. I would like plans to run gas lines to each unit to fuel the stove in each unit. We also need to plan out some minor plumbing changes.
When complete amongst the 3 buildings, there will be 66 one bedroom suites, 23 studio units, an office, a gym and a laundry room.
Building 4 (restaurant and office space):
I will needs plans and MEP to add a 2nd and 3rd story and turn each floor into (10) one bedroom suites.
We will need to determine the best room layout.
