Mid-Century Modern Home Restoration

Job ID: 38565475

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

I'm seeking a seasoned professional with a strong background in mid-century modern architecture and design. The task involves restoring my semi-custom 2000sf MCM 1973 home. The goal is to add MCM character. The last remodel was done in the late 90's (raised panel maple cabinets throughout home, pink/green Tuscan tile in kitchen wing). The MCM style we're looking to create would have an emphasis on natural materials with a focus on refined woods and architectural elements both inside and out. We aren't looking for a colorful atomic style.

Total remodel budget: $50,000 to $100,00

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic remodeling of the living room and kitchen, as well as the 2 full and one half bathrooms, to enhance their functionality while adding the MCM aesthetic.
- Incorporating architectural elements into both the interior and exterior of the home.
- Updating the overall aesthetics of the home to reflect a refined mid-century modern style, avoiding overly atomic designs.
-Repurpose and work with existing materials when possible (existing cabinet are high quality custom maple. It would be great to modify rather than wholesale remove.)

Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Extensive knowledge and experience with mid-century modern design and architecture.
- Proven track record in home remodeling with a focus on enhancing functionality and energy efficiency.
- Exceptional aesthetic sensibility with a keen eye for detail and quality.
- Experience incorporating architectural elements into a remodel.
- Experience repurposing materials when possible.
- Experience applying cost-effective strategies for maximum impact
