Master Plan for Mixed-Use Development
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I'm in need of an adept urban planner or landscape architect to design a master plan for a 10,000 m² plot. This will be a mixed-use space incorporating single-family homes and commercial facilities primarily aimed at tourism.
Key Project Elements:
- Design for a mixed-use space
- Inclusion of single-family residential units
- Planning for commercial facilities such as cottages, resorts or chalets for daily rental (up to 200 sqm)
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in urban planning or landscape architecture
- Previous work involving mixed-use developments
- Innovative thinking towards designing commercial spaces for tourism
- Proficient in creating sustainable and community-friendly designs
- Strong communication skills for presenting and explaining the plan.

I would like to design a master plan for a plot of land measuring 10,000 square meters, with equal sides. The western side, which is 100 meters long, is the only side facing the main road, so all entrances should be from the western side. The area is desert-like, and the winds are typically north-south. The land will contain the following elements:
A private house elevated at least 60 cm above ground, with a design that blends Bohemian, American, Greek, and Andalusian styles. It should include a swimming pool, an outdoor winter area, a barbecue area, as well as shade trees and fruit-bearing trees.
A well for water supply.
An open farm.
A closed agricultural greenhouse.
An area designated for animals, which will include sheep, possibly horses, or a guard dog.
An area designated for poultry.
A sandy area for children and their playground.
A part of the land with a separate entrance from the rest, designated for commercial use, such as a park or a rural resort featuring cottages with swimming pools.
Please consider distributing the areas in a way that maximizes the use of the land, taking into account the wind direction and desert environment. The master plan should be open to review and modification, and I welcome additional ideas from the designer to enhance the plan. I need a preliminary design for the requested plan above, including appropriate space allocation and distribution. The design should consider wind direction from north to south and the desert environment, as well as ensuring the house is located away from noise, is secluded, and easily accessible.
