Lake Nona Remodel Blueprints & Permitting
Budget: $1,500 – $3,000 USD
We are looking for a structural engineer to inspect a home we close on next week in the Lake Nona area of Orlando, FL. There are three main areas of the house we need help with:
1) Second Floor Addition: We have a living room with 20ft tall ceilings. We want to enclose this to build a second floor bonus room above the living room space.
2) Dining Room Addition: We have an outdoor lanai connected to the house (with full roof) leading into the back yard. We would like to enclose this area to make a dining room.
3) Bathroom/Master Closet Remodel: We would like to expand our bathroom and master closet into an existing laundry room and closet space. We would like to remove and build new walls to accommodate the remodel.
We will need an inspection of the current house to know what's possible, new blueprint drawings created, and someone to work with the City of Orlando on permitting for the remodel.
I have very detailed blueprints of the current home provided from the city of Orlando (500+ pages of every detail imaginable) that can assist with the project. The home is 3,200sq feet total today and is in the Laureate Park neighborhood.
I hope to get a quote quickly, as we will be in town next week (Mon 2/14 and Tue 2/15) and would like to meet with the engineer at the home to get the process moving if at all possible.
