French chateau renovation project - 3D modelling
Budget: €750 – €1,500 EUR
I have recently purchased a chateau in rural France (I live in London, UK) which is in poor condition and needs a major renovation programme. The works include everything from structural changes to new windows, bathrooms, kitchens, new electrics, HVAC and so on. I am a trained project manager and this is my fourth renovation project (I am an experienced and fairly knowledgeable amateur, not a professional). I will also be doing much of the building work myself.
I am looking for a long term partner who can help me to plan the project now and to continue to assist as the renovation programme is completed over the next 3-5 years. I have already produced many amateur drawings (not to scale) using PowerPoint (!) and I recently spent four days taking every conceivable measurement. In the attachment, you can see the file I prepared to take the measurements - I managed to get most but not quite all (some weren't feasible due to vegetation etc.). These are now written on a hard copy which I will photograph or scan. I also have more than 1,000 photos and many videos too.
I would now like to get a model built in AutoCad Architecture using the data that I collected (I have AutoCad Architecture but do not have time to learn how to use it and plan the rest of the project).
The model needs to serve three purposes:
a) to produce the plans required to get permission from the authorities
b) enable the planning of complex areas such as the routes to hide services in the historic fabric
c) to produce documentation to send to contractors for quotations and to execute the work
The model should contain the structure and offer 3D visualisations. I will require ownership of all the source files at the end of the project, not just the outputs.
Once the model has been built, I'd like to work with the partner to create the future designs--I have worked these out conceptually, but would appreciate professional input and challenge. The scope of this initial project, however, is restricted to the existing structure only.
I'd like a good quality piece of work done and a partner who is reliable and there for the long term.
