Foundation Plan Review for Basement Build
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I'm seeking a professional to review the plans for a new construction house's basement foundation. The primary purpose of this review is to ensure compliance with local building codes.
Our client has changed the design of their original architectural plans from a crawlspace to an unfinished basement on a slab with 8 foot cmu block walls. We would like to redesign the basement to eliminate many of the piers and open up the space as much as possible while supporting the first and second floor properly.
Notes: The front porch and screen porch will be built on grade, and not require a slab. The space that is listed as laundry and pantry on the second floor will be built on a 1.5' to 2' crawlspace and not on a slab.
This project is located in Asheville, North Carolina.
