We are currently seeking a Virtual Senior Estimator to help us accurately bid on public work and commercial projects.
Job Summary: The Virtual Senior Estimator will be responsible for reviewing specifications and plan documents from our builders exchange online planroom. This role involves creating detailed takeoffs, including all materials needed and the total square footage of areas to be painted. The ideal candidate will have expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and plans to ensure accurate and competitive bids for public work and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze project specifications and plan documents from the online planroom.
Create detailed takeoffs, including all materials required and total square footage of areas to be painted.
Accurately measure and calculate quantities to prepare comprehensive bid proposals.
Collaborate with the project management team to ensure all bid requirements are met.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve the bidding process and increase success rates.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an estimator in the painting or construction industry, with a focus on public work and commercial projects.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plans.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with builders exchange online planrooms.
Familiarity with public work and commercial project bidding processes.
Certification in construction estimating or related field.
