We are looking to put in a French drain and gutters. These are the specifications for our HOA
The guidelines for a gutter system on an existing house would be as follows: 1. Submit an aerial image of the house and property, showing the location of the gutter(s), the direction they will be flowing and the downspout location. 2. Submit photo images indicating where on the house the gutters will be located. 3. Submit a design style of the gutter and downspout and finish materials, ie, painted, Patina'd copper, powder coated, etc. What committee will be looking for is to whether the style and finish match the architectural characteristics of the house.
Adding an arroyo, channel, wash to direct the water would require civil plans from an engineer, as they will need to indicate where the historic flow is entering the property, and where the historic flow requires the water to exit, and how adding a guttering system would affect that this
