Job Description:
The proposed construction is located in very deep potential high water that may exceed 5+ ft in
depth per City Study, SWS-027 & is adjacent to the FEMA Floodway. The current Base Flood
Elevation near the site is 591 ft MSL. At a minimum please verify the structure will be built at or
above 591 ft MSL and will be constructed outside of the FEMA Floodplain.
The City is recommending the owner hire a civil engineer with a background in the floodplain
mitigation to advise on the structure's finished floor elevation and to verify the structure will not lead
to an impact on the FEMA Floodway and the Adjacent lot owners.
