Architectural drawings
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
I am a general contractor & builder in the USA.
We have a pilot house that we are building with shipping containers and 2 subsequent contracts for an 8 plex residential space along with a commercial development.
We were previously working with an architect here in Indiana but he fell ill and has not been able to complete our project in a timely manner. We have begun the construction offsite, but need to submit final plans to the city to begin foundation work and placement of the shipping containers. I have enclosed some preliminary drawings and a basic floor plan. Our final product will be based off the floorplan which shows 2 (40 ft High Cubed) shipping containers side by side, with one of them offset by 5 feet to allow for the front door. Additionally, the wall that currently has no windows on the floorplan (in the spaces designated Entry/Living) there will be 2 narrow rectangle shaped windows elevated approximately 6 ft from ground level.
We would like the roof to have what we call a shed roof with windows (Max 5) in the higher pitch towards the front of the house but not extending all the way across the house as the drawing suggests. The higher pitch should be on the side with the front door. Additionally, the lower pitched roof should extend across the 5 foot void created by the offset only in the front so that there is a front porch. We do not like the representation of the original drawings as they are too traditional and we would like something a bit more modern. The house will set on a 3 foot crawl space and be elevated from the street an additional foot. A design showing the space from the street would be wonderful! We are open to a covered porch design or some sort of courtyard design. In the back we we will have a detached
garage that mirrors the look of the house.
If you are able to work with us quickly on this particular project, we are looking for a long standing relationship, with multiple projects.
