Architectural Draftsperson/Virtual Office Administrator
Budget: $3 – $10 NZD
We are a New Zealand based Architectural firm with a strong pipeline of work. We have been in business for over 30 years and the bulk of our work is residential. We are currently recruiting for an Architectural draftsperson/ Virtual Office Administrator. There will be an opportunity to grow with company for the right candidate and possibly move into a more design and drafting focus role. Relocation to New Zealand may be considered for the correct candidate.
The position:
The position will be required to administer the end phase of the building design process.
This will include applying for building consents, revise drawings at the RFI stage and resubmit to meet Council requirements.
The position will keep track of project deadlines, apply for consents and respond to RFI in a timely manner.
Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
Initially:
- Submit building consent to council
- Keep track of progress.
- Revise drawings as required to suit council requirements.
- Resubmit drawings and documents to council.
Eventually:
- Complete full construction drawings and documentation for building consent submission under the supervision of senior designers.
- Design full projects under supervision of senior designer.
Ideal candidate:
Architectural design or residential construction background.
Knowledge of Revit a must.
Good communication skills and ability to communicate in English especially in written form.
EXCEPTIONAL ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL A MUST.
Knowledge of the building regulatory system and New Zealand Codes.
Quick learner and ability to be efficient in a short period of time.
Previous experience with New Zealand construction industry highly desirable.
Passionate about and able to work in a high pace environment.
