Architect for Colonial Era Villa Bathroom Redesign with IPS

Job ID: 39080135

Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR

Seeking a young architect to help redesign bathrooms for a 110 year old hill side villa, using Indian Patent Stone !

A Brief History
For the pasty two years I have been painstakingly restoring a colonial era villa at Mussoorie, India. The structure dates back to 1914 and sits on a 1.25 are hill face. Mussoorie was a popular summer retreat during the British Raj in India. Fortuitously, the house has remained fossilised in time and I have been able to restore it using traditional techniques and materials.

The construction elements comprise 'dhajji deewars' - timber lattice re-inforced rubble masonry walls in lime mortar, Indian Patent Stone Floors, and Deodar wood doors and windows with delicate lattices.

I have preserved the Indian Patent Stone floors, worn out as they are to stay true to the objective of conservation and restoration.

The house comprises 4 large bedrooms, each with it's private covered sit out, a large dining area with sit out, a drawing room and a lobby.

Scope of work
There are four bathrooms in the Villa. The bathrooms are not functional and need to be redone - redesigned - re planned using Indian patent stone

The Requirement
We are looking for a young architect, who has experience creating stunning visuals in India Patent Stone, especially bathrooms, built in sinks, counters etc.
