Aquarium Underwater Tunnel Blueprint
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I need a complete set of construction drawings for an underwater tunnel that will serve as the signature walk-through in our new aquarium exhibit. The focus of this job is the tunneling structure itself—its geometry, wall thicknesses, support points, stress calculations, and clear installation notes that a contractor or fabricator can follow without guesswork.
Because this blueprint is destined for a public-facing display, accuracy and buildability matter more than decorative concepts; fish-species planning and mood lighting can wait for a later phase. If you can still leave placeholders or reference zones for life-support piping and future lighting conduits, that’s helpful, but the structural design is the hard requirement.
Deliverables (all mandatory):
• Scaled plan, section, and elevation views showing tunnel length, radius, entry/exit interfaces, and foundation details
• Structural calculations or FEM summary that proves the tunnel will remain safe under water pressure at our maximum planned depth
• Material specifications and fastening details compatible with typical aquarium-grade acrylic, glass, or polycarbonate—whichever you feel is optimal (I’m open to expert guidance)
• Native CAD files plus print-ready PDFs
Acceptance criteria:
1. Drawings are dimensionally complete and ready for permit review.
2. Calculations align with relevant international aquarium or pool-tank standards.
3. A short revision round is included to incorporate stakeholder feedback.
If you’ve designed curved aquarium tunnels, underwater viewing windows, or similar pressure-rated enclosures before, please mention it and share a sample page or two.
