Event Accountant / Financial Manager

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant or Financial Manager to oversee the disbursement, tracking, and reconciliation of funds for an upcoming sponsored event.
This role is critical to ensuring that all allocated event funds are managed transparently, distributed accurately, and documented thoroughly to prevent any form of financial mismanagement.
The event budget will cover payments for multiple service providers and personnel, including but not limited to:
• DJ and musical entertainment services
• Event planner / coordinator
• Kitchen and catering staff
• Venue and rental services
• Additional event support workers and vendors
The total event estimate will be provided the professional will be responsible for timely payment distribution, expense verification, receipt collection, and accurate record-keeping throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and disburse event funds to all approved workers, vendors, and service providers
• Maintain clear and detailed financial records of every transaction
• Track invoices, receipts, deposits, and payment confirmations
• Prepare budget summaries and expense reports
• Monitor spending to ensure alignment with the approved event budget
• Prevent overpayments, duplicate payments, or budget leakage
• Provide regular financial updates to the event sponsor and organizing team
• Support final reconciliation and post-event financial reporting
