Split Mixed DXF Into Sections

Job ID: 40125171

Budget: $2 – $8 AUD

I have a single DXF that contains mixed 2D and 3D content. What I need is a clean breakdown of this master file into individual DXF files, each representing one clear “section” of the drawing so I can route them to different downstream processes with zero confusion.

Key points of the task
• Source file: one mixed-content DXF (2D linework + 3D solids).
• Organisation goal: produce a separate DXF for every section, keeping internal layers, properties, and scaling intact.
• Naming: use a straightforward, human-readable convention—Section-01, Section-02, etc.—unless you spot a better logic in the drawing title blocks.
• Accuracy: no geometry should be lost or shifted; UCS and units must match the original.
• Preferred tools: AutoCAD, BricsCAD, DraftSight, or any equivalent that guarantees full DXF fidelity.

Deliverable
A zip folder containing all split DXF files plus the untouched original for traceability.

Acceptance check
1. Opening any split DXF in AutoCAD shows only the intended section.
2. Layers, linetypes, colours, and 3D entities are identical to those in the source file.
3. No proxy object warnings.

The file is ready for upload as soon as you’re set; I’m aiming for a quick turnaround and am happy to clarify anything that speeds the work along.
