Orient Express Food Hub Branding
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
Graphic Design Brief – Orient Express Food Hub – budget
Umbrella Brand: Orient Express Food Hub
• Concept: Inspired by the legendary train journey from Europe to Asia. The train is the core symbol, pulling different wagons — each wagon represents one cuisine brand.
• Mood: A sense of travel, adventure, culture, and flavor journeys. Each wagon visually hints at its cuisine or theme while still belonging to the “Orient Express” family.
• Style: Playful yet premium. Not cartoonish, but approachable. Inspired by vintage travel posters with modern design lines.
• Colors: Base palette for the Orient Express hub itself: deep navy / burgundy / gold (luxury train heritage). Each wagon/brand then has its own accent colors.
The Five Wagons (Sub-Brands)
1. Helen’s Kitchen – Cyprus Lunch Cuisine
• Description: Everyday Cypriot comfort food — hearty, home-cooked dishes that showcase the island’s authentic flavors. Focus on halloumi, moussaka, fasolada (bean soup), lentils, and dolmades. Honest food “from Granma’s kitchen,” simple, nourishing, rooted in tradition.
• Visual cue: A wagon styled like a whitewashed Cypriot village house with shutters, clay pot, or grapevine motif. Olive branches or embroidery/lace as subtle accents.
• Color palette: Olive green, earthy terracotta, off-white linen.
2. Carlitos Buey – Flame Burgers & Fried Chicken
• Description: Bold American-style burgers with a Latin twist. Fun, indulgent, and street-smart.
• Visual cue: A fire-branded grill wagon, neon burger icon, or ox silhouette (“buey” = ox). Tex-Mex meets urban diner.
• Color palette: Fiery red, bright orange, black.
3. Umami House – Asian Street Eats (Wok, Sushi, Bao, Ramen)
• Description: A modern pan-Asian street food concept. Fresh, dynamic, and exciting.
• Visual cue: Wagon roof with Asian architectural lines, chopsticks or ramen bowl motifs. Minimal and contemporary.
• Color palette: Black, jade green, cherry blossom pink, white.
4. Zoe’s Palace – Waffles, Crepes, Sweets
• Description: Whimsical and indulgent, a palace of desserts that appeals to both kids and adults.
• Visual cue: A carnival-style wagon, topped with whipped cream, sprinkles, or palace spires. Playful but elegant.
• Color palette: Pastels (pink, sky blue, cream), with gold accents.
5. Kouppa & Salata – Salads & Bowls
• Description: Fresh, healthy, light — modern Mediterranean bowls and greens.
• Visual cue: Clean, minimal wagon with natural wood feel, filled salad bowls, fresh leaf motifs.
• Color palette: Fresh greens, light beige, turquoise.
