Logo Palette Enhancement Needed
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
Project Description: Catch the Wave Swim Club Logo Color Enhancement
The goal of this project is to refresh the existing Catch the Wave Swim Club logo by introducing a subtle and cohesive color enhancement—adding vibrancy and warmth without altering the structure, typography, or recognizable layout of the original mark. This is not a redesign; it is a refinement that should preserve brand continuity while infusing the logo with more life, depth, and emotional resonance that matches our facility design and current brand tone.
The updated logo should maintain its professional and trustworthy feel while incorporating gentle accents and highlights inspired by the “Wave & Sunshine” palette. The intent is to make the logo feel more inviting, family-friendly, and contemporary while continuing to convey our core message of water safety, skill, and joy.
Design Objectives
Keep the existing penguin, typography, and circular layout identical.
Maintain the overall look and recognizability of the current logo.
Introduce color variation and subtle gradient work that adds warmth and visual interest.
Ensure the logo works in both digital and print formats, including embroidery and signage.
Color Approach
The current brand colors—Deep Ocean Blue, Aqua Blue, Black, and White—should remain the foundation of the design. These colors represent trust, water, and professionalism. Small, well-balanced accents from the “Wave & Sunshine” palette should then be added for contrast and personality.
New Color Integration
Introduce Sunshine Yellow (#F9C80E) as a soft, natural glow behind the penguin or within the existing background circle. This should evoke a sunrise or gentle reflection of light on water, not a bold or cartoon-like sunburst.
Incorporate Coral Pink/Orange (#F86624) sparingly—either in small wave tips, text accents (such as “Swim Club”), or thin outline details—to provide warmth and energy.
Use Seafoam White (#F7FFF7) as an optional replacement for pure white in areas where a softer, warmer tone is desired, particularly for print or web backgrounds.
Execution Guidelines
Apply the new colors through gradients, highlights, or accent fills rather than complete color replacements.
Avoid heavy saturation or stark contrast shifts; the update should feel cohesive and intentional, not busy or overdone.
The Deep Ocean Blue (#004B8D) should continue to anchor the text and outline work, ensuring clarity and trust.
The Aqua Blue (#00AEEF) can remain the secondary water tone for inner waves or mid-level accents.
The penguin’s body should stay true to its current black and white contrast to preserve familiarity.
Deliverables
Updated full-color logo using the enhanced palette.
Flat color version suitable for print, uniforms, and embroidery.
Optional inverted version for dark backgrounds.
A short color reference sheet showing the final approved palette with usage notes.
This update should create a more dynamic and emotionally engaging logo that aligns with the cheerful, safe, and empowering environment of Catch the Wave Swim Club—modernized in tone, yet faithful to the trusted brand families already know.
