Fine Art eCommerce Website Design
Budget: $1,000 – $5,000 USD
We are looking to create a custom website for my mother's artwork as we begin selling her work online. The website should serve as both an artist portfolio and an e-commerce platform, showcasing and selling original paintings, fine art prints, commissions, and potentially additional products in the future.
The attached mockups represent the overall direction we are drawn to. We are not looking to recreate them exactly, but rather to capture the same feeling and overall aesthetic. We already have a strong vision for the brand and user experience, and are looking for someone who can refine those ideas and bring them to life through thoughtful design and development.
We want the website to feel more like a gallery experience than a traditional online store, with the artwork remaining the focal point throughout. It should feel elevated and professional while still having warmth, personality, and a strong sense of the artist behind the work. We want visitors to connect not only with the artwork itself, but also with the story, inspiration, and meaning behind it.
Key goals for the website include:
Showcasing original paintings in a beautiful and organized way
Selling original works, prints, and future product offerings
Sharing information about the artist and her work
Creating a seamless and intuitive shopping experience
Ensuring the site is mobile-friendly and easy for us to update ourselves in the future
We already have artwork, inspiration, and initial branding materials, and are looking for someone who can take those assets and turn them into a polished, custom website. Experience designing websites for artists, galleries, luxury brands, photographers, architects, or interior designers would be especially valuable.
We're looking for someone who understands how to balance visual storytelling, ecommerce functionality, and user experience while creating a site that feels distinctive, memorable, and authentic to the artist.
