Develop a brand and brand identity for a Tape & Strapping range.
Budget: ₹100 – ₹400 INR
We’re launching a new brand for a wide range of packaging tapes and specialist tapes, strapping, and relevant machinery and ancillaries. The brand must feel strong, confident, and high quality, with the flexibility to evolve across different product types in the future.
This contest is for the development of a brand identity concept, including:
• A brand name (see criteria below)
• A logo/visual identity – this may be typography-only or may include a logo.
• A brand guidelines package: colours, typography etc
• A simple system for sub brands. The range will not have sub-brand names, but will keep it simple using some sort of code-based system for product lines.
Brand Principles:
The brand should communicate:
• Strength
• Confidence
• Quality
• Technical professionalism
• It should feel sleek and minimal, not overdesigned
Types of Product:
• Adhesive packaging tapes
• Specialty tapes
• Surface protection films and tapes
• PP, PET & Steel strapping
• Strapping buckles, seals, tools, dispensers
• Case taping & strapping machines
+ more in the future
Brand Name Criteria:
We need a short, punchy, professional name suggestion that:
• Is sleek, possibly technical
• Is easy to pronounce
• Is product-neutral (not tied to tape/strapping - we want flexibility to expand into new products)
• Has no negative meanings or associations
• Is not already in use within the industry
Deliverables:
• Brand name
• Visual identity concept (can be typography-only, or include an icon if you believe it adds value)
• Directional brand elements: colour palette, typography, and a type of coding system for sub-brands
