Brand & Messaging Strategist for Student Service
Budget: $10 – $30 CAD
I’m building a student-focused service brand that helps students turn messy academic and career documents into clean, professional, submission-ready PDFs (Word & LaTeX).
The core service targets Bachelor, Master, and PhD students working on:
theses & dissertations
lab reports & academic projects
research papers
CVs, cover letters & student applications
I’m now looking for a Brand & Messaging Strategist / Copywriter to structure the messaging, posts, and content guidelines before scaling visibility in large student communities.
Your role (very important)
Your job is not design execution, but strategic content & messaging that will later be given to:
graphic designers (static posts),
video editors / motion designers (Reels),
and used directly for Facebook group posts.
I will share my marketing axes and core ideas.
You will refine them, structure them, and translate them into clear, actionable content directions.
What I need from you
1. Brand positioning (very concise)
Define a clear positioning sentence for the brand.
Keep the focus on students only.
Allow extension from academic documents → academic + career documents (CVs).
2. Brand pillars & emotional messaging
Define 3–5 strong marketing pillars (stress removal, time saved, confidence, professional result, submission-ready).
Turn them into short phrases that can be reused everywhere.
3. Facebook group posts (core deliverable)
Write 2–3 ready-to-post Facebook messages:
Audience: students preparing theses, reports, projects, CVs.
Structure: problem → relief → solution → CTA.
Tone: reassuring, professional, student-friendly.
Bilingual format:
French line
English line
(same message, both languages).
These posts must be directly usable.
4. Static image posts – directives
Provide clear instructions for designers:
What the image should show (concept, not design).
What text should appear on the image (short FR/EN lines).
What emotion the image must trigger.
How it connects to the brand pillars.
Example:
“Image showing messy document → clean PDF. Short headline FR/EN. Feeling: relief + confidence.”
5. Reels / short videos – directives
Provide 2 Reel concepts, including:
Hook (first 2–3 seconds).
What is shown visually.
On-screen text (FR + EN).
Emotional objective.
CTA.
This will be given directly to video editors / motion designers.
6. Use of “proof” (examples, not claims)
You may suggest examples that could be used in messaging, such as:
“hundreds of theses”,
“hundreds of lab reports”,
“many academic documents formatted in 2025”.
These are illustrative elements you may integrate as optional messaging examples, not as established claims.
Deliverables
1 concise brand & messaging document (2–3 pages max).
2–3 Facebook post texts (ready to publish).
1 static post content guide (for designers).
1 Reel content guide (for video editors).
Format: Google Doc / Word / PDF.
Ideal profile
Strong experience in brand messaging & copywriting.
Comfortable structuring content for designers and video editors.
Bonus: experience with students / education-related services.
To apply
Please include:
1–3 relevant examples (branding / messaging / content strategy).
In 3–5 lines, explain how you would approach:
clarifying the brand positioning,
structuring posts and content directives for students.
