Bilingual Legal Education Brand Localization for China

Job ID: 40462754

Budget: $10 – $30 CAD

I am taking an English-language brand in the legal-education space into Mainland China and need it to resonate instantly with Chinese law students, junior associates, and in-house counsels. The task is not a word-for-word translation; I need a thoughtful, culturally aligned repositioning that keeps the authority of the original while inspiring trust in a new market.

Scope
• Logo & visual identity – I will provide the existing vector files and current guidelines. I need a bilingual lock-up (English + Simplified Chinese) plus any necessary adjustments to colour, typography, and iconography so the mark feels indigenous to Mainland audiences while still recognisably the same brand.
• Co-branded naming – I do not have a final Chinese name yet. I am looking for consultation: two or three viable Simplified Chinese names, each with clear rationale (literal meaning, legal connotations, ease of pronunciation, potential conflicts, domain availability).
• Objective – everything we create must build trust and credibility within China’s legal community, so sensitivity to regulatory language and professional tone is critical.

Deliverables
1. Naming report (PDF): shortlisted Chinese names, phonetic spelling (pinyin), semantic analysis, trademark/domain checks.
2. Final bilingual logo suite: AI, EPS, SVG, PNG, and JPG in colour, black, and white, plus a horizontal and stacked version.

Acceptance criteria
• Names avoid homophones with negative or frivolous meanings and are free of obvious trademark conflicts in China.
• Logo renders crisply at 24 px and scales to trade-show backdrops without pixelation.
• Brand guide is clear enough for any local agency to implement without further direction.

If you have a track record in Chinese brand localization—especially for professional-services or education brands—let’s discuss how you would approach the naming exploration and visual refinement.
