Anime-Inspired Trading Card Logo
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I'm looking for a talented designer to create a vibrant and eye-catching logo for my online trading card and collectibles retail business.
The logo should have an anime and cartoonish style, incorporating trading cards as a central element. A bright and bold Galaxy/space/90's funky color scheme is essential to capture attention and convey the excitement of the products. I would like a round logo for this project. I've attached photos of both my business partner and I for reference as well as some of our current IP we use for our branding. The anime photo of us was done by AI and is good but could be a better represented by a human touch. For example my hair is black not brown and I have both ears pierced not one. I had some ideas for overall design like making the logo a custom pack of cards with our name on it. I attached a jenky mock-up of that for reference as well. In that mockup the full logo is rectangular but the round elements can be separated. I attached two photos of the mock up on a shirt. Breast pocket utilizes the round logo by itself and the back of the shirt incorporated the entire logo. I don't want to get pigeon holed into a singular idea however. I'm not a professional; you are. The whole logo should be hand drawn so please no using stock images to create this. Maybe the logo consists of two packs of cards and each of us are on a pack individually. Maybe it's us popping out of a pack of cards. Maybe it's us holding a pack of cards like it's our baby I don't know. I'm open for suggestions but overall the design should convey the brand without being overly messy and confusing. Font is also very important to me. I had the luxury of taking intro to design from Karen Cheng who wrote the book designing type (granted that class kicked my butt) I learned how important font was to design. The font should boldly convey that 90's era nostalgia OR have some Galaxy/space theme. I don't know why I'm so hung up on space considering it has nothing to do with cards, it's just the first thing we went with when making our stream. Maybe it's time to move on to a more 90's style. Luckily they both share a similar color palette. Anyways, have fun and get creative!
About us: Pack Daddies Card Co (Pack Daddies for short) was created by two best friends with a passion for opening card packs from the 90's era. We've known each other since 5th grade and came together to start this side hustle after we each had kids (hence the daddies part of the name). We stream on weekends after our kids are asleep and have been consistently growing the past year. We sell all sorts of products from pokemon, magic: the gathering, and any 90's nostalgia cards.
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in anime and cartoon design. This is most important as I want the logo to include both my business partner and I characterized in an anime drawing style.
- Familiarity with western 90's culture and aesthetic.
- Experience with logo design
- Strong understanding of color theory, particularly with bright and bold palettes
- looking for colors primarily found in a galaxy palette like purples, bright blue, pink, black and white. We love the 90's so be creative with the pallet although we are big fans of blue, purple, pink.
- Ability to incorporate specific elements like trading cards into a cohesive design
