MVP Development for Multivendor Marketplace – Regional Food Platform

I’m looking for a skilled freelancer or small team to help build a (MVP) for an innovative multivendor marketplace focused on selling regional agricultural products (like eggs, milk, vegetables, meat) online.
The goal is to launch a pilot version of the platform within 4 weeks, using an affordable but scalable eCommerce system such as Bagisto (Laravel), Shopify, WooCommerce, or Shopware – I am open to your recommendations based on cost-efficiency and future scalability.
We will work using clearly defined milestones (see below).
Good communication, creative problem-solving, and practical decision-making are highly valued.
? Your Proposal Should Include:
- A recommendation on which platform you would use and why
- Links to previous work (ideally multivendor or eCommerce projects)
- A rough time & cost estimate for the MVP (not the full platform!)
- Your availability and preferred communication method
? Core Requirements for the MVP:
- Vendor registration/login and product upload
- Product browsing and search
- Shopping cart and basic checkout process
- Integration of at least one payment method (e.g. PayPal, Stripe)
- Admin dashboard for managing vendors/products/orders
- Simple shipping method (basic or placeholder integration is fine)
- Clean, responsive design (mobile-first preferred)

(Each milestone will be reviewed, tested, and approved before proceeding)
Planning & System Decision:
Define the MVP feature scope
Select appropriate eCommerce system (Bagisto, WooCommerce, etc.)
User flow & basic technical setup plan
? Deliverable: Technical concept + roadmap
Wireframes / UI Design:
Vendor dashboard, customer store, admin area
Simple, clean wireframes or mockups
? Deliverable: Screens or prototype in Figma / Adobe XD
System Setup & Hosting:
Install chosen platform on test server
Apply basic theme/template
Enable multivendor functionality
? Deliverable: Working staging environment
MVP Core Features Development:
Vendor management, product listings, checkout
Add payment integration (e.g. PayPal)
Setup a shipping method (or dummy setup)
? Deliverable: Functional MVP backend & frontend
Admin Panel & Support Tools:
Admin dashboard setup
Add simple help/support placeholder (FAQ or contact form)
? Deliverable: Working admin + support module
Testing & Final Review:
Bug fixes, responsiveness check, performance test
? Deliverable: MVP ready for pilot launch
? Budget & Timeline
I’m targeting a low-cost MVP for this phase.
If the pilot launch goes well, there will be long-term development and maintenance opportunities (new features, UX, marketing integration, CRM, etc.).
