Monthly MYOB Inventory Adjustments Entry

Job ID: 40036159

Budget: $15 – $25 AUD

I have about 100 stock-decrease journal entries to record in MYOB every month. Each adjustment represents product that has left the warehouse because a sale was completed, so the quantity on hand must be reduced accordingly.

I have hand written entries of stock for each job in notebooks of which I will send scanned copies. Each entry is in an abbreviated version. A document explaining the abbreviations will be supplied. A journal ID can be documented on the o entry I will supply the product abbreviation, the quantity used, the date the sale was finalised, and the relevant job number. Your task is to enter this information in MYOB as an Inventory Journal so that the on-hand count and cost of goods sold are updated accurately.

Accuracy is non-negotiable—items, dates, and job numbers must match the source sheet exactly—and I need the full month’s adjustments entered within five business days of receiving the data. If you are already comfortable navigating MYOB’s Inventory Journal screen and double-checking postings to the correct inventory and COGS accounts, this should be straightforward. Book keeping is not necessarily required. Previous employees have managed this process without any book keeping experience.

Once the entries are in, I’ll run my own reconciliation; any variances flagged must be corrected promptly. Ongoing monthly work is available if we establish a smooth, error-free process.

Any questions please ask. It will be necessary to have some training in this process over the first couple of weeks.
