Bookkeeping Assistant
Budget: $8 – $15 USD
Looking for a bookkeeping assistant for a bookkeeping firm. Remote only. This position is project-based to start, with room to grow into a long-term, hourly position with the company. Individual freelancers only, companies/teams need not apply.
- Experience with data entry into Quickbooks Online required
- Proficient in Excel and Google Workplace
- Detail-oriented
- Looking for a self-starter and someone who can problem solve
- Self-sufficient and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong organizational, project management, and multi-tasking skills are essential to succeeding within this position
- Position is remote, however you MUST be able to occasionally work Los Angeles, CA business hours

1. What steps do you take to investigate discrepancies in financial records? Can you give me an example of how you resolved a difficult discrepancy in the past?
2. How would you identify a duplicate entry of a vendor bill, and what measures do you have in place to prevent such duplications?
3. Have you managed multiple bookkeeping projects at the same time? If so, how did you prioritize your tasks and prevent missing deadlines?
5. How would you troubleshoot and resolve an unclear transaction when reconciling an account in QBO? Provide examples of tools/resources you'd use to solve the issue.
