Almost every mom gains insight as she begins her parenting journey but does this mean we are an expert or does it truly define who we are? Yes, women love to create solutions and share or point out their knowledge.
I’m looking to write a book about my entrepreneurial experience in creating National Baby Food product In Alaska. The seed for my company began to sprout while I was doing my medical rotations helping adults with swallowing and digestive challenges. Here I created custom meals for my patients to help them recover that was both nutritious and delicious. Often times during these medical challenges families were offered Baby Food in the hospital as the only alternative. Prior to my background in medicine my family came from an organic farm in Greece with the Mediterranean diet was rich in our blood. Here I started to notice not only were the flavors bland and on tasteful but the nutrition was also missing. After years of guided research and taking notice to the epidemic of food allergies and childhood obesity I hold down to create the most nutritious and delicious product available that was ready to eat.
I turned to Alaska where the soil was untainted by pesticides and herbicides and the soil was nutrient rich with glacier water in the summers long that created the most nutritious and sweetest vegetables. Here I began to present my research to allergist in pediatricians combining protein grains and vegetables in a smooth consistency that was both palatable and packed with natural non-fortified nutrition. In many ways you can say I revolutionized the baby food industry with complete innovation in both delivery packaging in flavor combinations.
I spoke as many allergist and pediatrician conferences, the Alzheimer’s Association, in Anaheim at the healthy food expo, Forbes global business, and many other. Each and every time no matter the research no matter the background there was one constant question. Did you start this company because you had a baby of your own? The stereotype that a mother creates a business to feel that her need for her children bypassing all the years of research and who someone is before having children is almost lost. The same question was asked constantly even by investors. I would love to create A book that shares a positive entrepreneurial mission a positive mother figure that is not defined only as being a mother. There is so much to offer there’s so much to share.
Currently Bambinos is a national Baby Food company selling to retail stores along with direct delivery subscription service from our food production facility in Alaska directed parents.
In 2015 I launched a peanut cookie that helps desensitize children from the peanut allergy.
