Toddler Fantasy Adventure Storybook

Job ID: 40370782

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

I’m ready to bring a gentle dose of magic to very young readers and need a children’s writer who can shape a short, engaging fantasy adventure perfect for toddlers. The finished book should be around 500–700 words, built on simple, rhythmic sentences that work well when read aloud and encourage little listeners to anticipate what happens next.

I’d like a single, self-contained story with a clear beginning, middle, and warm, reassuring ending. You’re free to decide whether the characters are talking animals, tiny heroes, or whimsical creatures—what matters most is that toddlers can follow the plot easily and feel safe, excited, and curious all at once. The language must stay age-appropriate, with plenty of repetition and sensory details (sound words, bright colors, gentle humor).

Because I may commission illustrations once the text is locked, please include brief art notes where scene changes or key visual moments happen. These notes can sit in brackets after the relevant line of text.

Deliverables:
• Complete manuscript in DOCX or Google Docs
• Light illustration cues (one or two sentences max per spread)
• One revision round after initial feedback

If you’ve written for ages two to four before, especially in rhyme or lyrical prose, I’d love to see a sample. Let’s give budding readers a tiny adventure they’ll want to hear again and again.
