I've completed a non-fiction manuscript intended for adult readership. I am seeking an expert in assessing:
- Structure: Can the narrative flow be improved? Are there inconsistencies or contradictory parts? Are there sections that don't contribute to the book's overall purpose?
- Content: Does the argument or thesis hold up? Is the evidence well-applied and interpreted?
Ideally, you'll have experience reading and reviewing nonfiction books for adults and possess keen analytical skills. A background in the book's subject matter isn't necessary but it could be helpful.
ABOUT THE BOOK
This book is about his experience as an Evangelical Christian in the United States for over 35 years. He became an Evangelical when he arrived to pursue graduate studies in this country. This book is a personal account of his experience as a member of various Southern Baptist churches in the South. His coreligionists' election and support of Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential elections destroyed everything he thought they and the Evangelical church stood for. After years of not getting satisfactory answers from within the church regarding their unsuitable support of a man who represented everything the Evangelical church preached against, he decided to leave the church, his friends, and his faith. Writing this book was a challenging spiritual journey but a rewarding one. It helped him find a new path free of mystical dogmas and beliefs responsible for erecting walls of division, fear, and imprisoning the soul.
