Ghostwriter for Heartfelt Memoir

Job ID: 39955989

Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD

I need an experienced ghostwriter to help me turn my life story into an honest, emotional memoir. At three years old I was abandoned on the streets of South Korea, placed in an orphanage, and later adopted into an American family in New York City. The book will center on my earliest memories—life inside the orphanage, the uncertainty, the discrimination I felt among my own people—and weave in the parallel journey of my adoptive mother, whose childhood in NYC ultimately led us to each other. This project is a tribute to her, to my family, and to the power of destiny.

Scope
• Develop a detailed outline from recorded interviews and personal documents.
• Craft a full-length, emotionally rich manuscript (approx. 70–80 k words) in a memoir style.
• Capture a heartfelt tone while maintaining narrative pacing.
• Emphasize my challenges in Korea, then transition smoothly into the adoption journey and our life together in America.
• Handle sensitive topics—abandonment, identity, grief—with accuracy and respect.

Process
1. Conduct remote interviews and review existing notes, letters, or photos.
2. Deliver chapter drafts in batches for feedback.
3. Revise for clarity, voice consistency, and emotional depth.
4. Provide a polished, publisher-ready manuscript with one comprehensive round of edits.

I value clear communication, cultural sensitivity, and a collaborative approach. If you have proven memoir or narrative non-fiction experience and can bring compassion to every page, I’d love to work with you.
