Children's Story for Ages 9-12 -- 2

I’d like a fresh, original children’s story aimed squarely at readers between nine and twelve. Boys and girls alike should be able to see themselves in the characters, relate to the challenges, and feel genuinely excited to turn each page.
I haven’t locked in a specific genre yet—adventure, fantasy, mystery, or a clever blend of them are all on the table—so bring your best idea and let me know why it will resonate with this age group. The language should sit comfortably at a middle-grade reading level: engaging, but not condescending; rich, but still clear.
Length is flexible as long as the plot feels complete and the pacing holds a tween’s attention. Please deliver the manuscript in an editable Word or Google Docs file, fully proofread and ready for me to review. If you also create illustrations, that’s a bonus we can discuss once the story is locked, but text is the immediate priority.
