I’m developing a new chapter book aimed squarely at 6- to 8-year-olds and need it taken from concept to finished pages. The story should be lively, engaging, and written in clear, age-appropriate language across short, manageable chapters. Every chapter will be paired with a full-page illustration that enriches the plot rather than simply decorating it, so close collaboration between writer and illustrator—or a single creator who excels at both—is essential.

Core deliverables
• Complete, polished chapter-book manuscript
• Corresponding full-page colour illustrations for each chapter, supplied in print-ready resolution (CMYK, 300 dpi)
• Source files for both text and artwork

Acceptance criteria
• Characters, dialogue, and themes suitable for early readers (US grade 1-3 reading level)
• Story arc resolved within the agreed page count
• Illustrations consistent in style, proportion, and palette, enhancing key moments rather than repeating the text
