Southern Baptist Pastor Review of interfaith Book

Job ID: 40004028

Budget: $30 – $250 USD

I am a Muslim author and I wrote book (about 200 pages) to provide overview of Muslim theology to Evangelical Christians. Your main task is to read the book and answer ten specific questions I have prepared;

Here’s what the job involves:
• Read the full manuscript (delivered as a PDF).
• Provide clear, candid answers to my ten questions, referencing Scripture or Baptist Faith and Message statements where relevant.
• Flag any doctrinal missteps or areas that might raise concerns for an evangelical audience.
• CANNOT USE AI to answer the questions.

I’m not looking for detailed line-editing or stylistic notes—only feedback from someone who knows Southern Baptist doctrine inside and out. If you’re currently pastoring or have recent SBC pastoral experience, that’s exactly the voice I need.

I’ll supply the manuscript and question set as soon as we start, and I’d like the completed responses back within two weeks. Let me know about your pastoral background and your availability to dive in.

Here are the first nine question you will need to answer:
1. How is your overall impression? You felt this book is informative? educational, missionary, an effort to connect people?
2. Did you feel any unease at any point? Was there any word, sentence, or paragraph that you felt uncomfortable with, offending?
3. Was reading the book a positive or negative experience?
4. Top 3 points you were surprised to know.
5. Some pastors stated that understanding Islam helped them better understand their own faith and/or the Bible? Did you have the same experience? If yes, what?
6. Did the book build any bridges? Change your perception of Islam/Muslims? If yes, how?
7. Do you believe what you read will influence anything you say about Islam or the displaced Palestinians in your circles of influence? Please elaborate.
8. Would you recommend this booklet to other pastors, Christian leaders?
9. Can you recommend 3 ways I can improve the book?
10. TBD
