Write 18th-Century Gothic Horror Novel
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
I have an original gothic horror concept in mind yet need a skilled novelist to bring it to life from the first spark through to a polished, publish-ready manuscript. The entire story must unfold in the 18th century, steeped in the era’s atmosphere of candle-lit corridors, crumbling manor houses and superstitious dread. Haunted locations, tangible supernatural entities and a tangle of dark family secrets all sit at the heart of the plot, and the lead character should remain a reluctant hero who is pulled ever deeper into the mystery against their better judgment.
Here is how I would like the collaboration to flow:
• Concept & Mood Board – a short creative brief (1-2 pages) that establishes tone, themes, visual references and your initial story hook.
• Structured Outline – chapter-by-chapter roadmap that we agree on before prose begins.
• First Draft Sample – roughly 10,000 words that demonstrate voice, pacing and the main narrative arc so we can course-correct early.
• Full Manuscript – a complete, professionally edited novel delivered in Word and PDF, with one revision round after my feedback.
I’m happy to discuss target word count, thematic nuances and any research you feel will deepen authenticity. The finished book must be original, free of AI-generated prose, and clear of plagiarism. If you thrive on gothic ambience, creeping suspense and morally complex characters, I’m eager to read your proposal and published writing samples.
