Urgent: In-Person Workbook Specialist Needed: Cover Design, Interior Layout, & Amazon KDP Expert
Budget: ₹1,500 – ₹12,500 INR
Project Overview:
We are seeking an elite, highly competent independent designer and typesetter to finalize a premium, international-standard mental health workbook and journal. This is a high-priority project with an imminent deadline. We are skipping standard corporate agency routes to find a fast-paced, highly skilled individual who can execute a clean, high-status minimalist aesthetic smoothly and beautifully.
Location & Structure:
Type: 100% In-Person, Collaborative Role.
Location: Juhu, Mumbai, or at the Candidate's established professional work studio (if fully equipped).
Travel Preference: It is preferred (but not mandatory) that the candidate is based in or near Juhu or Bandra to minimize travel fatigue and ensure peak creative energy during the project.
Dynamic: You will be working directly alongside the author/curator for real-time collaboration and instant execution. No frantic or rushed work allowed; we require smooth, high-end competence.
The Selection Process (Mandatory Evaluation Test):
Before final onboarding, candidates must complete an in-person evaluation test:
Availability: You must be available in Juhu on Friday, May 22nd, for this live interview evaluation.
The Assignment: Curate 5 sample pages based on a live brief to demonstrate your speed, grid alignment, layout logic, and aesthetic taste.
Time Limit: Maximum 30 minutes (faster completion with high quality is preferred).
Terms: This is an unpaid interview evaluation test used strictly to judge competency. If accepted, you will begin the official 3-day project the following morning.
Official Project Terms & Compensation:
Duration: 3 Days continuously.
Daily Shift: 9 Hours per day (8 hours of active work + 1 hour break). The author will sit alongside you for the entire duration to ensure zero communication delays.
Compensation: ₹3,000 per day (Total ₹9,000 in-hand cash/transfer paid entirely on the final day upon complete, satisfactory delivery and upload of the manuscript).
Required Infrastructure: You must bring/utilize your own high-performance laptop and possess immediate access to your own non-copyrighted/licensed premium footage and asset banks.
Required Expertise & Competency:
Amazon KDP Mastery: End-to-end experience with KDP print-ready specifications (exact bleed, trim, spine calculation, and margin rules) so the book passes validation on the first upload attempt. As the final phase of the project on Day 3, you will oversee and execute the live layout upload process on-site to secure immediate platform approval.
Workbook Design Pedigree: Proven experience curating interactive journals and workbooks matching the structural and visual caliber of The Steal Like an Artist Journal and the Atomic Habits Workbook—highly functional, clean, and spacious.
Aesthetic & Soft Skills: A master of high-end international minimalism (clean, sorted, comforting). You must have exceptional listening skills, follow instructions perfectly, and input creative suggestions that accelerate the project rather than stall it.
Legal & Compliance:
The selected candidate will be required to sign a comprehensive Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and provide a self-attested government ID copy prior to starting Day 1.
To Apply: Please submit your design portfolio—exclusively highlighting clean minimalist layouts, interactive workbooks, or verified KDP publications.
Shortlisted candidates will receive a formal confirmation email detailing the schedule for the in-person interview and technical evaluation.
